The Church played an important role in the Middle Ages. One way it had importance was that the Church conducted different rituals, such as, death ceremonies, marriage ceremonies, and child birth. The Monastery would help the local people by healing them and teaching them. The reason why they would teach them is because, in the Middle Ages, there weren’t any schools, people would get an education at the local monastery. The Church would have been able to do all this, because many nobles and lords would support it through money. A usual Church was Catholic and it was the only connection people had to God. For these reasons, the Church had a large impact on the lives of people living in the Middle Ages.
