This morning, we had 4 groups of high schoolers teach us about science topics. My favorite was the carbon cycle, because I found it the most interesting. I knew about carbon, but i didn't really know how it tied into global warming. They had the most alluring presentation. It is very interesting how the carbon comes from the plants during photosythesis, then once the plant dies, the carbon goes into the Earth for millions of years, then oil or coal companies dig up the carbon (the name for the carbon is fossil fuels), then burn it, releasing the dirty carbon back into the air, and so the cycle continues. There are more details in it, but this is the most basic form.
